Hey you! Wow! First I hug you. That is some pretty HEAVY SHIT, to say the least. What you must have gone through I couldn’t even begin to imagine. You lost 2 parents. One your cared about and one you didn’t. Either way emotionally that’s a hell of a lot. I’m really sorry you live in the same town. As for your brother, it sounds like he’s been babied for too long. As a mother I know how easy it is to do, to a love one. You feel anyway you want to as it’s only natural for you to be in the air so to speak!

Okay on a lighter note now, you know I’m laughing about the midgie,right?

Maybe you should be a detective Sounds right on to me! Had a similar situation happen to a practically relative although it was over child support not divorce papers. People are stupid!

I can’t wait to see silver linings. I remember seeing the trailer for it last year and thought it looked great. I’ll probably do a post on it after I watch!

Thanks for bringing this article to my attention. As a Canadian, I don’t often read the Guardian. In fact, I have never watched Homeland so this was news to me. It’s so important to have mental illness depicted sympathetically and with understanding. If you’ve seen Silver Linings Playbook, the main character has bipolar disorder. However, it is treated as an illness that he has to manage but only one aspect of his life. It was so uplifting for me to see him as a full person, not a bipolar person. In fact, the movie begins as he is released from his stay in hospital which is refreshing.
