I listen to this song often. It’s such a powerful song, and combined with Cash’s gravelly and emotion-filled voice is just beyond words. I love Cash and this really sums up his career of genius and ability to relate to the essence of humanity as a whole. Great song to pick. Considering how I feel today, this song fits perfectly.

I prefer the Johnny Cash version, mainly because his voice seems to add weight to the words.
As much as i love NIN I think I like Johnny Cash’s cover of this song more than the original! He brings such a power to this song!
